I Am Your Child
The I Am Your Child Foundation is a national, non-profit, non-partisan organizations that was founded in 1997 by actor/director Rob Reiner to raise awareness about the importance of early childhood development and school readiness. IAYC promotes public policies that help ensure that children have the physical well-being and the social, emotional and cognitive abilities they need to enter school ready to succeed.
IAYC also develops a wide variety of resources for parents, early childhood professionals, child advocates, health care providers, policymakers and the media. Hosted by popular celebrities and featuring well-known child development experts, the videos present the most up-to-date parenting advice in an engaging and accessible manner.
All products are available in both English and Spanish. The low-cost resources ($5 for videos and CDs and $1 for booklets) can be useful for both childcare staff and parents.
