Zero to Threes mission is to promote the healthy development of our nations infants and toddlers by supporting and strengthening families, communities, and those who work on their behalf. The organization is dedicated to advancing current knowledge; promoting beneficial policies and practices; communicating research and best practices to a wide variety of audiences; and providing training, technical assistance and leadership development. Zero to Three provides: Brain Wonders This is a special website about how the brain develops within the context of relationships, from conception through three years of age. Many childcare providers have questions about how brains develop in young children and what they can do to help with this development. The website answers common questions about certain aspects of development. Center for Program Excellence (CPE) A consultation service offering trainings, technical assistance, and resources for childcare, early intervention, and other early childhood programs. Areas covered include health and mental health services, early intervention, childcare, home visiting, and child welfare. Early Head Start National Resource Center (EHS) A resource center coordinating national training and technical assistance for EHS programs across the country. Learning and Growing Together Strategic Initiative This training initiative is for staff working with families of infants and toddlers. The focus of the initiative is on the importance of reflective practice and self-awareness for staff development, and particularly for establishing strong and effective relationships with parents. Through the development of a comprehensive training package, consisting of both written materials and video, the initiative seeks to strengthen parent/professional relationships. National Infant and Toddler Child Care Initiative A project of the Child Care Bureau, Administration for Children and Families, Department of Health and Human Services designed to support State and Territory Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) administrators in their efforts to effect system-wide improvements in infant and toddler childcare. The Magic of Everyday Moments Campaign This is a unique campaign designed to show how everyday activities, that are often seen as time-stealers, can be meaningful opportunities to connect with children and encourage development. The Zero to Three website includes The Magic of Everyday Moments booklets that can be downloaded. Printed copies can be ordered from the organization.
