What is one of the easiest way to stay healthy? Handwashing.
Are antibacterial soaps better? It is the rubbing and rinsing that remove germs; any soap will work.
Are hand sanitizers effective? They are not as effective as soap and water.
Which is better bar or liquid soap? Liquid soap is less likely to be contaminated with germs.
Safety First: Radon: Are You at Risk?
What is radon? Radon is a toxic, radioactive gas produced when uranium breaks down naturally in soil, water, and rock.
What are the health risks of radon? Exposure can increase your chance of lung cancer later in life.
Can you smell radon? It is odorless, colorless, and tasteless.
How does radon enter buildings? It can seep through soil or air. It can also contaminate water supplies.

What is family-style food service? Children are allowed to serve themselves from common bowls and pitchers.
How can I help children learn to serve without spilling? Provide easy-to-grasp utensils; assist by holding the bowl; use appropriate size serving spoons; provide small pitchers with spouts.
Will children take the right amount of food? They will learn. Encourage small portions, and allow children to come back for seconds.

Are insect bites dangerous? Usually not, but some individuals can have a serious allergic reaction.
What bugs are most likely to cause reactions? Wasps, bees, hornets, yellow jackets, and fire ants.
What are signs of a serious reaction? Wheezing or breathing difficulties; swelling of face, lips, or throat; dizziness or restlessness; nausea and vomiting.
What should I do if a child has any of these signs? Call 911 for emergency medical help

What are generally healthy appetizer choices? Broth or tomato based soups; salad minus the high-fat dressing and cheese.
What food preparation methods are generally best? Poached, steamed, roasted, broiled, stir-fried, or grilled.
I like Mexican food. What should I eat? Avoid fried foods like chimichangas and nacho chips. Omit the guacamole and sour cream and request salsa instead
Can pizza be healthy? Yes. Choose a thin crust and select vegetables such as mushrooms and tomatoes. Omit the high-fat meats and extra cheese.
